About Lifestream Christian Church

LifeStream Christian Church launched in October of 2004 with a core group of 25 adults and their families. Today our average attendance is 150 people on a Sunday morning. As we have continued to grow we have tried to simply be a part of what God is already doing in our community.

We would love to have you visit us on a Sunday morning, or come by the office anytime throughout the week and find out more about who we are and where we are headed. Our goal is to help you find a place to connect with other people like yourselves for the journey of the Christian life, even if you do not choose LifeStream as you home.

Purpose Statement

LifeStream Christian Church exists to connect people to Jesus Christ and help them become fully developed Christ followers.

Three C's

  • Connection: Meeting people where they are in life and helping them know they have a loving God who wants to redeem them.
  • Community: Helping people become connected to other Christ followers through small groups, ministry teams, and other intimate settings.
  • Calling: Training people to discover their gifts for serving God and the community, and finding their place in God's Kingdom.

Staff

Lead Pastor - Russ Koelzer
Russ and his wife Heather have four children and love living in the Gardner area. Just before moving to Kansas to plant LifeStream, Russ was the Senior Pastor of Draper Park Christian Church in Oklahoma City.

It was during this time in Oklahoma City that Russ became convinced that he was wired to be a church planter. Heather and Russ packed up the family and moved to Gardner in May of 2004 to begin developing a core group that would eventually become LifeStream Christian Church.

Youth Minister / Praise and Worship Leader - Eli Karthonke
Eli is a graduate student at Mid-American University and coaches several competitive soccer teams in the Gardner area. Most recently he has begun a Recreational Soccer Leauge for the Gardner area. Eli works with our Middle School and High School aged students.

Children’s Director – Amy Roberts
Amy and her family have been a part of LifeStream for four years now. She has recently become the director of children’s ministries for children ages infant thru fourth grade. We are so glad to have Amy as a leader.
